• Correlation water vapour / dynamic tropopause :

Water vapour imagery : observation of upper level dynamics

• strong humidity gradient zones <=> jet areas
• dark areas <=> areas of low tropopause
  example : water vapour + ARPEGE analysis (every 6h ; Z1.5PVu = red,jet on 1.5Pv = blue) ;see the good correlation between - dark zone and low values of Z1.5PVu - jet axis, areas of strong gradient ofZ and areas of strong humiditygradient on water vapour images.
